With its thick, soft coat hanging to the ground, the Afghan has been nicknamed "The Hound in Pajamas". Known for their luxurious coats, they are considered by many to be the only agreeable luxury dog. Sort of a beautiful blonde, valued for their aesthetic qualities more then their ability as hunting dogs. Though, a word of caution; their coats need to be brushed regularly. Even though they have long coats, Afghans fair well in warm as well as cold climates.
Afghans are full of energy, they're fast runners with great endurance.
